Dr Chakraborti has always provided the best management of my prostate cancer. During consultations he has not just treated me as "Just another patient" but has taken a keen interest in my home/work life and always considered my wife and family. His vast knowledge has assisted me with other health areas that may not have been part of the cancer care, pointing me in the right direction for additional care and treatment. All in all, I believe he has provided me with the best care possible and thank him for everything that he has done to date.

From our first consultation, Dr Chakraborti has been a great listener, allowing me to talk about my diagnosis and concerns without being rushed. He always takes the time to answer all my questions with a good amount of detail, this has given me clarity about my diagnosis and as a result I have a great amount of trust in him and his experience. Dr Chakraborti has never kept me waiting at any appointment and has always been caring and interested, asking questions to understand my day to day life and family situation and also sharing a little of his own family, this is very comforting for a patient and makes me feel like a person not a number. Dr Chakraborti has always been welcoming and seems pleased to see me and has shown great empathy. I feel very lucky to have him on my side and this has made me much less worried throughout my treatment, he always ensures that I know who to contact with any issues on a daily basis. Such a lovely, caring and compassionate gentleman, thank you for your care.

My mother has cancer spreading throughout her body, and Dr Chakraborti is her assigned cancer specialist. Dr Chakraborti has always interacted with her in an engaging, warm and sensitively humane way as he provides her medical cancer treatment care. It is his care towards my mother as he always ensures to lighten and de-stress any potentially difficult meeting or news whilst communicating clearly all information, giving her his full focus, attention and priority to all else during his consultations that we have especially appreciated. We have confidence that he will continue to prescribe treatments which are the best for my mother for her evolving condition.

I was 'passed to' Dr Chakraborti after my cancer had gone past being treated with radiotherapy and had been satisfied with the previous consultant, so was slightly apprehensive. Both my wife and myself warmed to him quickly however. It is good that he uses simple anecdotes to explain what are complex things in a way that makes things understandable, and puts your mind at rest. He also has a good dry sense of humour and overall he inspires confidence. Although not all patients might not welcome this I like it that he dictates his notes with us present as we then know what he is saying and also we don't have to worry about this task 'going on a to do list' which is clearly what happened with a previous doctor.

I have been under his care for several years now, and I have responded well to the treatment he has given me. He has always explained the process and given reasons and options, for and against. He is diligent in listening to my feelings and opinions. Perversely, I always look forward to my consultations with him as his good care, advice and humour take me through the next few months.
